The Director of People & Culture is an entirely new role with NHS Health Education England and presents a phenomenal opportunity to impact on the future of the organisation.
We are looking for an outstanding candidate who has the passion and drive coupled with the experience to deliver a completely refreshed people strategy. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our amazing people have the right environment and culture to continue delivering today but also crucially that they support developing services in a way that is fit for the future. We have a clear view of where we want to take the organisation and we would like you to be part of the team that can enable this to happen. Bold changes are needed and that is why we need someone who understands what needs to change and how to lead that change in a way that brings our people along the journey.
HEE benefits from having a workforce that is motivated and engaged and works hard to consistently improve services in a way that benefits those we serve. In addition, our people are increasingly adept at changing what they do and how they do it to consider the way in which the health landscape is continually changing – even more so since the onset of the pandemic.
The successful candidate will be required to make significant contributions to the development of a workforce strategy to ensure we have the right people with the right skills to deliver the level to which we aspire to across the country.
We are therefore looking for an exceptional organisational development and culture transformational change specialist who can evidence and bring a track record of managing demanding and complex change agendas. Critically, not only must you have the expertise and resilience to take on this senior leadership role but, the absolute passion and overwhelming drive to support and develop our people.
If you can bring expertise and a willingness to think differently, and if you have experience of strategic oversight of the implementation and delivery of HR transformation and cultural change, this role could be the one for you. Whatever your background - whether in the NHS or not - if you are a strategic leader who can inspire our staff then please do get in touch.
During the current situation due to COVID-19, HEE's position is for staff to work from home. As and when it is safe to do so, office bases will be re-opened on a hot-desk basis. The future base for this role could be at any of HEE's offices, but the postholder will need to be able to travel to national meetings and events as appropriate. HEE’s offices are spread across the country, and in addition to the head offices in Leeds and London, there are offices across the seven regions.
